30 years ago Dutch trance duo Lex van Coeverden and Rene van der Weyde penned one of dance music’s most distinctive yet underrated hits ‘Waterfall’. There have been several reincarnations over the years but now it’s the turn of retro remix king Dr. Packer to get to grips with this gem. He stays true to the original, beefing up the groove and adding a late-night pulsating bassline. A fine remix that brings the track bang up to date. The Disco Dandies are also called in. As one would expect, they add an upbeat disco groove with a looped percussive groove, disco stabs and phasey bass line – again the original melodies sit on top perfectly and make this version a winner!
